Big dollars to spend
Don't we know it. But nothing much can be done about that - the cost of boat hardware fittings that is. One thing that is real important is to get good suppliers from the begining. Ring around your local guys and explain what you have tasked yourself with, many will be willing to offer a good discount for your continued support, you will, after all be spending anything around $100,000 - more or less depending on your boat and budget. I only used 4 suppliers, for 95% of everything I bought for the boat, (even timber) and could - with a bit more thought cut that down to 3. This does save a massive amount of time and dollars.
Not actually sure how to write this part of the site. Most hardware is easy to fit, so needs little explanation. In the end decided to write a few short pages on what I think may be useful and note my experiences down with different equipment I used, and of course my experiences with the gear, ease of use and operation etc.
